Line Editing
This type of editing addresses your writing technique line by line. Line editing should come after developmental editing but before copyediting, as it focuses on the stylistic execution of your story (rather than, say, major plot elements—a developmental concern—or granular mechanics—a copyediting concern). As your line editor, I will analyze each sentence to ensure your writing is both effective and accessible, shaping elements of writing craft such as word choice, sentence structure, sequencing of actions, pacing, showing vs. telling, emotional impact, and character dialogue.
